Question 1 How can I check the time and date of the program?

Please login to My Page and you will be able to see the time and date for your digital exchange.

Question 2 How can I communicate with Japanese schools?

Instead of Japanese school teachers, we will contact and communicate for you. We have local coordinators in each area, so they can communicate with you by e-mail or another messaging app such as LINE. When we need to have a meeting on on-line, we can use Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, etc. Depending on schools, the software will be different.

Question 3 How well can Japanese students communicate in English?

Depending on the grade, the level will be different.

①Elementary Students 3rd and 4th Grade

They can greet in English and they can understand some basic introductions. They can answer if it's very simple questions.

②Elementary Students 5th and 6th Grade

They can ask some simple questions and they can answer them. They can interact with English teachers and friends in the classroom if it's a very simple topic.


③ Junior High Students between 1st and 3rd Grade

They can communicate in English if it's a simple interaction. They also learn reading and writing, so they have grammatical knowledge as well.


However, Japanese students can sometimes be hesitant to communicate in English.

Question 4 Who will provide the lesson content?

You or the Japanese school can make any lesson content but if you don't have any idea for lessons, we will provide lessons topics and content as well.

Usually, you wouldn't need to prepare any lesson and leave it up to the Japanese school, but if you have a specific idea, we can request it to your partner school.

Question 5 What device do schools use for on-line lessons?

They use tablets and PCs. Each student has a school tablet and PC so they can have small group lessons, an individual lesson or a classroom lesson. It's very freestyle so when you want to do any specific lessons, please let us know and we will request it to your partner school.
